About the Artist

Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee weave together timeless traditions reflecting Maine''s nautical legacy and its Celtic heritage. Performances can include songs, tunes, and accompanied storytelling spiced with relevant history and humor. Arrangements feature 12-string guitar, viola, woodwinds and Julia Lane''s award-winning Celtic harp playing. Both Lane and Gosbee are also fine vocalists. They have toured the Eastern U.S. and the British Isles and have recorded 18 albums. Curriculum enhancement programs are available.
Castlebay also has a historical multi-media play, The Grand Design, which commemorates a 1740 shipwreck of Scots-Irish on the Maine coast.
