About the Artist

In the mid-seventies, when I was twenty-five years of age, I came to the realization that I was an artist. I have immersed myself in my art since that time.

I am self-educated or, more accurately, self-educating.

Although I am primarily a painter, my art is not limited to that form. Sculpture, collage, performance art, poetry, acting and directing are all responses to my muse.

I hope my paintings evoke the deep love I feel for the natural world. I take as my subject matter favorite places such as my native Maine and Ireland.

I have exhibited in the Palm Beaches (Florida), Minneapolis, many places in Maine, and in Galway City, Ireland. My work is in private and corporate collections across the country and abroad.

I own and work in an historical building at Cass Corner, North Cornville, Maine, which has served as art gallery, venue for local artisan goods, and public artspace hosting a life drawing group, evenings of poetry and music sessions.
