About the Artist

My work uses landscape as a symbolic vehicle to record perceptions of a place at a moment in time and as a notation of found relationships.
As observations are released onto paper, plate or canvas, marks are created, lost and found and eventually accumulate showing the history of my perceptions. I focus on color, intuition, gesture and play in order that the viewer can also slowly meander amongst the forms and space. I want one to look closely and with more curiosity&#59; as though on a trail, in the woods or poking around in a cottage garden.
