About the Artist

Sam Van Aken is the winner of the 2008 Maine Arts Commission Individual Arts Fellowship.

His diverse body of work includes video, performance, audio, and installation based works. He has exhibited his work widely throughout the state including exhibitions at the Colby College Museum of Art, The Portland Art Museum, The ICA at Maine College of Art, The Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and the Blum Gallery at College of the Atlantic.
