Tower of Song Festival

About the Artist

The Tower of Song Festival, celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the Tower of Song Project, will take place Saturday, May 23rd, 2009. The festival will feature 9 of Portland''s best bands and musicians playing live from the top floor of the historic Schwartz Building overlooking Congress Square. The music will be amplified to the streets below, creating a massive concert experience that will reach from the Portland Museum of Art to Monument Square. In Congress Square, we will be hosting an Arts Fair made up of local artisans specializing in all types of mediums, including jewelry, clothing, records, and magical inventions. This event is completely free and open to the public. We started the Tower of Song simply because we love Portland and all it has to offer, and we literally felt like shouting our joy from the rooftops.
