About the Artist

Author or editor of fifteen books of poetry, translation, and criticism, Annie Finch is professor of English at the University of Southern Maine and Director of the Stonecoast low-residency MFA Program in Creative Writing. Her book of poetry Calendars was shortlisted for the Foreword Poetry Book of the Year Award and in 2009 she was awarded the Robert Fitzgerald Prosody Award. She has presented her poetry nationwide and in England, Greece, Ireland, and Spain, and her work has been featured at Maine Literary Festival, the Maine Festival of the Book, Maine Public Radio, and the Portland Press Herald.
