About the Artist

Pine Tree Quilters Guild, Inc. (PTQG) is Maine's non-profit state quilting guild with over 2,100 members in 75 chapters. PTQG's purpose is educational to bring together Maine quilt enthusiasts in fellowship and sharing; advance the appreciation of quilts, old and new; promote high quality productions; promote knowledge in techniques of quilting; sponsor and support quilting activities; enourage the care and preservation of quilts; help to raise the status of quilting in Maine. Members meetings are held in January, May and September at the Jewett Hall on the UMA campus or alternate sites, as published in Patchwork Press and posted on our web site. Activities include workshops and lectures led by national and New England quilters, area and chapter meetings, Maine Quilts - the annual State quilt show and chapter and area quilt shows.
