About the Artist

I have a BA in both Studio Art and Art History. Over the past ten year, I have been the owner of a successful decorative painting business in Southern and Midcoast Maine. I work with clients to help them achieve their design goals within the home, by offering custom murals, faux finishes, and glazes on walls, floors, and furniture. I can also be found pursuing my passion for painting in my own studio where I create vibrant, impressionistic, acrylic landscape paintings, inspired by my love of the natural world and the rugged, changeable beauty of Maine's seasons. I've sold my work in local galleries, coffee shops, through commission, and most recently on Etsy (Seller name: AlyssaBishopArt). Through all of my facets of painting, my ultimate goal is to bring joy, color, and a connection to the world of art into people's homes.
