About the Artist

Village to Village plays international/multi-cultural music from the United States and around the world. Ellie May Shufro (violin/fiddle) and Juan Condori (cello) are long-time professional Maine musicians who research and arrange the most compelling and enchanting sounds they can find - staying as true as possible to the original sound. Music includes cultures of North and South America, Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Europe, Central Asia, China and Japan, the Middle East, Australia, etc. with new pieces added all the time. Village to Village has - for example - answered requests for events seeking Turkish and Macedonian music, and is happy to continue to accommodate "anyone's Village."
