Academic Excellence in the Jesuit Tradition

Serving 500 students of diverse socioeconomic, religious and ethnic backgrounds from over 60 communities in southern and central Maine, Cheverus High School provides its students a superior, values-based education and a strong foundation for post-secondary study. A private day school for young men and women in grades 9 through 12, Cheverus is by practice and choice a college preparatory school in the Jesuit tradition.

One of the finest college preparatory schools in New England, Cheverus is the place that offers much more than four years of rigorous classroom learning. Minds are challenged to stretch to their boundaries and students learn to reach outside themselves. We celebrate diversity, creativity and exploration—we are home to actors and athletes, writers and artists, musicians and leaders. Cheverus nurtures the creative fire of its artists, musicians, computer designers and thespians. The arts here are excellent with many concerts, theater productions and art exhibits throughout the year which showcase the budding talents of our young men and women.
