About the Artist

Photography is a way to stop time and capture an image that may otherwise go unnoticed. Combining photography with other Medias creates a new range of visual possibilities using encaustic processes, paints, unusual substrates and direct print on altered aluminum sheets.

I first started experimenting with various paints looking for a way to alter my prints and give them a unique twist. All my work starts with an image, either in my head or one I've already taken. I combine the photograph with paint, metals and a variety of techniques to achieve ranges of tones, texture and patterns. I work intuitively with the mediums, allowing what is natural to my eye determine the finished print.
