About the Artist

My work is multi faceted. Primarily a painter, I also do illustration and design. I have exhibited widely in New England and have won numerous awards for my painting. My illustrations have appeared in newspapers, in advertising, and in a children's book. My design work is extremely varied- everything from logos to set and costume design to exhibits for a science center.
After years as a teacher, I moved to Brooklin Maine in 1995. My studio is currently in the old school building (29 Reach Road) in Brooklin, where I continue to do painting, design, and illustration for local businesses and organizations. I recently painted a set for Paul Sullivan's "JAZZ JUKEBOX" nightclub.
For my own pleasure (aside from artwork) I play blues and ragtime guitar, and the snare drum in the Brooklin Town Band. When time allows, I sail my Beetle Cat "Willow".
