About the Artist

Rebecca is an artist and writer who works as an arts and recreation specialist. She studied Theater and Religion at Wells College, and earned an MFA in Drama from UConn, specializing in puppet, mask and shadow theater. Recently, she expanded her arts skills through studies in video and graphic design at SMCC in South Portland, ME.

Rebecca owns and directs Dragon's Eye Adventures: Mythical Programs for the Young Detective Mage. She has written 60 adventure plays for young people, drawing on her studies in mythology and history. These plays come to life in summer and vacation programs where the children (ages 6-16) play detectives trying to solve mysteries of the mythical kind.

Rebecca has written and directed two stage plays, The Vanishing Point and Dragon of Kyo, both puppet productions. She is currently experimenting with video and toy theater, hoping to produce a short film called Carnival of the Harvest Moon.
