About the Artist

Anita and Shalimar Poulin, mother and daughter, are at the center of famille d'artistes. From three generations of painters, the Poulins aim to honor Anita's mother, Alma's french heritage with the name of their mother-daughter buisness. Famille d'artistes began in the summer of 2010 with a tent and paintings at the Winthrop Sidewalk Art Exhibit. In 2011, both artists exhibited in Rangely and in 2012 at LA Arts (under the group name Greenwood Studio Collective) and at CMMC in Lewiston. Shalimar is an art educator who enjoys making art in her summers. Anita is retired with a part time graphic design business, APGraphics. Anita has participated in sidewalk art show and other exhibit events since the early 70's. Both women enjoy spending time togehter painting, drawing, and preparing for mother-daughter shows.
