About the Artist

I am primarily a painter, but am also a writer and a musician. I am from a family of artists and writers and one of my sisters, Susan Minot, is quite a famous writer. I have lived in Bucksport since 2001 and have been painting this midcoast region for 40 years, selling my first painting in 1974 to Watergate judge, Gerhardt Gazelle, out at an annual library art show on North Haven where my family had a summer home. I do mostly landscapes and seascapes and have painted many places around the world where I have lived, including Hawaii, New Zealand, Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Belize, Costa Rica, Taos, NM, New Orleans, LA, Greece and Crete. I also write and I am a musician who plays piano, guitar, and harmonica and I write my own songs.
