Roger S. Duncan

About the Artist

Roger S. Duncan is a professional photographer based in Bath, Maine. He does editorial, commercial and fine art imagery. He is a Navy Reserve Photographer with training and experience in both Public Affairs and Combat Camera. He shoots weddings occasionally and teaches photography in the classroom and the field to amateurs and pros. He has a BA in Studio Art from Lawrence University with graduate work in photojournalism at the Missouri School of Journalism. As a Navy Chief, he studied Public Affairs at the Defense Information School. He began freelancing in 1994. Since then he has held many different roles in the field. He has been a newspaper photographer, Combat Camera documentarian, picture editor, portrait studio shooter and manager, commercial photographer's assistant, photography teacher, AP Stringer, author, and camera salesperson. He enjoys working with people and making memorable images. His deep experience has exposed him to many kinds of work and he can create stylized imagery for any purpose from scratch or with direction. His basic range is Bar Harbor, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts. Roger is married to Martina Morrow Duncan. They have 2 daughters, and 2 dogs and enjoy boats and family.
