About the Artist

The Winter Harbor Music Festival has been in existence for nearly a decade. Founded by flutist Deirdre McArdle, with the support of Juilliard flute faculty member, Carol Wincenc, Mannes piano faculty member, Gena Raps and the director of the Westchester Choral, Daniel Paget with a mission of “bringing together musicians of different ages and stages, with world-class artists, in performance, amidst the beauty of Downeast Coastal Maine.”
Professionals are intermingled with students and adult amateurs in chamber music ensembles characterized by a non-judgmental, collegial atmosphere based on the philosophy that participant's level improves exponentially by rehearsing and performing with world-class faculty. Performances include two chamber music concerts and two events which include audience participation, the Winter Harbor Music Festival Summer Sing and the Winter Harbor Music Festival Community Opera
