Anatole Wieck and Lillian Garwood

About the Artist

A virtuoso on violin and viola, Anatole Wieck combines in one recital the brilliance of the violin and the lyric intensity of the viola. Wieck's programs, with Lillian Garwood, pianist, also include the viola d'amore, an 18th century baroque instrument. His gifts as a violinist, conductor and educator are internationally recognized. He is on the music faculty at the University of Maine in Orono. Demonstrations and master classes can be arranged in conjunction with recitals.
