About the Artist

Fire, bronze, earth and the human spirit: these are the elements of sculpture.
Anthony Alemany is an contemporary realist sculptor in South Berwick, Maine. He was born in 1985 in Chattanooga, TN and grew up in Ringgold, GA. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and continued his study at the Florence Academy of Art with a summer sculpting course. Soon after moving to Maine, Anthony worked for 8 years in business management. After making one great leap to full-time sculptor, he returned his full artistic attention to sculpting the figure in a contemporary and realist quality.
For Anthony, Fine Art is a language. Art has the capability of communicating powerful truths that are uniquely human in a way that words cannot express. Anthony finds inspiration from life, people, and the ancient classical literature that has shaped the modern world, such as the Bible and the Homeric epochs.
He spent the last 5 years learning Greek and Hebrew in order to explore the poetic genius of these ancient classical texts in the richness of their original languages. Classical narratives continue to resonate with contemporary audiences because they capture something that is foundational to the human experience. Sculpture echoes the voices of an ocean of souls through the generations of time. If you listen closely, you can still hear them.
