About the Artist

Fine ornamental carving with style and vitality. Period furniture, contemporary furniture, architectural details, lettered inscriptions, relief panels, etc. All periods and styles, from classical to naturalistic, using traditional tools and techniques. Restoration/replication carving is a specialty. Public, private, corporate and religious commissions welcome, for carving services or complete finished works. Commissions of note include carvings for the new Speaker's rostrum or podium in the House chamber of the Maine State House, a Percent for Art project; and designing the "Blaine House Chair" and building a set of twenty-four for the State dining room in Maine's Governor's Mansion, commissioned by the Friends of the Blaine House.
