About the Artist

For over 50 years the Al Corey Orchestra has been bringing the Big Band sounds of the 40's to Central Maine and the surrounding areas. For over two decades they were a yearly fixture at the Governor's Ball playing the tunes of the Glenn Miller and the Count Basie bands. Their repertoire includes such tunes as "One O'clock Jump", "Moonlight Serenade" and "In the Mood".

The Al Corey Orchestra will continue to operate in the same tradition of swing and big band sounds under the direction of Brian Nadeau. Brian has been playing trumpet with the band for many years and for the most recently has held the position of Al's assistant director. Arrangements to hire the band may be made by calling Brian at (207) 990-2202 or by e-mail: Trumpetbri@msn.com.
