Juried Exhibition Artwork Submission Form
Use this form to submit artwork to our Juried Exhibition of Plein Air Art Festival 2025. Our juried exhibition will be shown at our Plein Air Soiree on Saturday, August 30th at 317 Main Community Music Center and at the Merrill Memorial Library from September 1st to October 25th in Yarmouth, Maine. All artworks must be painted/inspired by plein air settings in Yarmouth, Maine. You do not need to participate in PAAF 2025 to submit your work.
The juried exhibition submission fee is $35 and allows you to submit in any of the three price categories. You can submit in one, two, or all three of the categories. Artists will receive 50% of all sales.
- CATEGORY ONE: Painting valued at $1000 or More in any size
- CATEGORY TWO: Painting valued at $1000 or Less in any size
- CATEGORY THREE: $200 Flat Rate value for 8"x10" size or smaller
MEET OUR JURORS
Jill Hoy - World renowned painter, Jill loves working with the particular qualities of Maine light, has long been a primary focus of Jill Hoy’s plein air oil paintings. Strong composition, rhythm, gesture, pattern, energy, power of place and soul are also primary concerns. (https://www.jillhoy.com/about)
Emma Wilson - The Portland Art Gallery director's early love of art, growing up with access to New York’s renowned museums, stayed with her as she moved around the country. Marlena Faxon - A Maine landscape painter who explores the reconnection of humanity with nature and self with one's local place whose work reminds us of our commonality, interdependence, and beauty. RULES FOR SUBMISSION
- Submissions Due: Midnight on Saturday, August 23rd.
- All artwork must be painted/inspired by plein air settings in Yarmouth, Maine. (Participation in PAAF 2025 is free of charge, but NOT required to submit to the juried exhibition). Click here to participate in PAAF 2025.
- Two-dimensional media only (Painting, drawing, pastel, collage, and mixed media will be accepted. No photography.)
- Winners Announced: Wednesday, August 27th. Winners will be notifed by email no later than 6PM. Winning artwork must be delivered in person between Thursday, August 28th or Friday, August 29th. Drop-off details to follow.
- Plein Air Soiree: Saturday, August 30th at 317 Main Street from 5-8pm. Artwork for sale.
- Juried Show on View: Juried Exhibition of PAAF artwork at Merrill Library Gallery and 317 Main Gallery September 1st through October 25th, 2025. Artwork for Sale.
- All CATEGORY THREE WORK WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE EXHIBITION: All selected works AND all category three works will be shown at the Soiree on August 30th as well as in the Juried Exhibition at Merrill Library Gallery through October 25, 2025. Artist's receive 50% of all sales.
