Maine Art Gallery offers a robust season of classes

Response to the Maine Art Gallery’s 2022 season was so positive, with all five classes filled, that the gallery has expanded its offerings to a full dozen in 2023, its 65th anniversary year. The classes run from a few hours to a few days, with prices as low as $45 for members. The season begins in May with Intriguing Flowers Photography with Olga Merrill, Plein Air Painting at Pemaquid Sea & Surf with Deborah Chapin, and Color Counts! a color theory workshop with Deena Ball.
In June, Diane Dubreuil offers a Watercolor Class, and classes on Wood Assemblage with Andre Benoit, and Appreciating Nature Photography with Jonathan Lavan that are open to adults and youths 10 and over accompanied by an adult.
July classes include Sketchbook Journaling with Diane Dubreuil, Abstract Landscape Painting with Karen Jelenfy, and Painting in the Garden with Sara Greenier.
In August and September, learn the Elements of Landscape - Plein Air with Deena Ball, experience Painting with Acrylics with Melanie Therrien, or take a first step into expressing yourself with Drawing for Beginners and Intermediates with Diane Dubreuil.
Classes are held at the Maine Art Gallery, 15 Warren Street, Wiscasset, and at locations throughout Lincoln County.

The gallery is located at 15 Warren Street, Wiscasset, with free on-street parking. From the north on Route 1, turn right onto Federal Street (Rt. 218) then left onto Warren Street. From the south on Route 1, turn left onto Federal Street, then left onto Warren Street. From Main Street shops, we’re an easy 8-minute walk.
