Projection mapping on the Schooner Actress, in conjunction with IMFF

Join us for a projection mapping experience on  September 27th, at the town pier in Bucksport Maine. 
The projection will take place in downtown Bucksport Maine. Images of water, sailing, boat building, and sea life will be projected onto the sails of a historic schooner, "Actress" by artist Tara Law. 

This event is free and open to the public. It has been funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts”

4th annual International Maritime Film Festival coming to Bucksport, Sep. 27-29

Bucksport, Maine, USA -- The 4th annual International Maritime Film Festival returns to the Alamo Theatre from September 27-29, 2019. A complete schedule and a list of all films available at maritimefilmfestival.com. The festival features a wide variety of films on a range of maritime subjects and flexible ticketing options are available. Tickets will be sold at the door but it is highly recommended you buy tickets in advance as many screenings are likely to be sold out. Tickets are available at the website, at Book Stacks in downtown Bucksport, and at Archipelago in downtown Rockland. 
The festival kicks off at on Friday evening with a reception in the lobby of the Alamo. Following film screenings on Friday night, we will present a large scale projection event by Bucksport artist Tara Law who will project archival film on the sails of the schooner ACTRESS at the Town Dock, across the street from the Alamo Theatre. This event is free and open to everyone thanks in part to the Maine Arts Commission and will take place around . The festival continues through midday on Sunday. 
Several will be in attendance to take audience questions and feedback. This year, we will present a special film made by Bucksport High School students on Sunday morning. The film, "The Way Life Should Be" was made possible by a generous grant from the Maine Arts Commission. 
The festival is still looking for volunteers. In exchange for a few hours of your time, volunteers will receive a festival pass and endless gratitude. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Brook at brook@mainstreetbucksport.org
