About Haystack Mountain School of Crafts
Founded in 1950, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is an international craft school located on the Atlantic Ocean in Deer Isle, Maine. We offer workshops to participants of all skill levels as well as a residency program, conference, visiting artist series, and programs for Maine residents. Noted American architect, Edward Larrabee Barnes, designed the award-winning campus and the school attracts faculty and students from across the country and internationally.
Guided tours of Haystack’s campus and studios are available every Wednesday at 1 pm, through August 28. The award-winning campus is a series of shingled buildings cascading down a granite hillside overlooking Jericho Bay and the Deer Isle Thoroughfare. A suggested $5 donation supports Haystack’s scholarship program.
