Concert from the Couch

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Freeport is presenting another Concert from the Couch on Tuesday, January 19 at 7 pm. This concert features four young musicians from the Greater Freeport area. These include Julia Haldeman, Logan Schultz, Jacob Miller and Ella Vertenten. Ms. Haldeman, who is a third-year student at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, will be performing the classic musical theater piece from the Fantasticks entitled “Soon It’s Gonna Rain”, written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt. Mr. Schultz, Mr. Miller and Ms. Vertenten are members of Freeport High School’s chapter of the Tri-M Music honor society, which is a program of the National Association for Music Education. Mr. Schultz will be playing “All of Me”, written by Jon Schmidt, on the piano and Mr. Miller will perform “Etude 7” by Morris Goldenberg on the marimba. Ms. Vertenten will be singing “Dirait-on” by Morten Lauridsen and will also perform a monologue from the play “Eleemosynary” by Lee Blessing. This concert will be live-streamed on the Facebook Page of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Freeport and is free to the public.
