Join Richard Boyd Art Gallery in welcoming Deena Ball to the group of artists represented by the gallery in Southern Maine.  A nationally renowned landscape painter she is known for her innovative use of watercolors in combination with textured ground and specialized surfaces.

Deena holds a BA in Art History and Studio Art from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and continued her studies at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and Tyler School of Art. 

The majority of her work is painted en Plein Air or derived from sketches and observations while she was immersed in nature. She strives to create simple expressive paintings inspired by nature, capturing a moment in time and striking an emotional chord with the viewer. Stop in Richard Boyd Art Gallery to see several of her original mixed media and watercolor paintings on exhibit in the annual ‘Holiday Offerings’ exhibition opening December 3 at 10:00 a.m.
