ELLSWORTH - Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) offers its next Midday Concert @ 1:00 on January 31 with Duo Emma Stanley and Tyler Stanley. The concert will be held at the Moore Community Center Theater at 125 State Street in Ellsworth, Maine. The series is sponsored by Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) with funding assistance from The City of Ellsworth. Admission is free to the public.

Called an “incredible horn player” with “perfect sound” by MaineToday, and a “local horn virtuoso” by the Bangor Daily News, Emma Stanley is a soulful, seasoned performer on trumpet, piano, and voice.  Based in Portland, Maine, Emma plays locally and regionally as a solo artist and with multiple groups, currently including Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew, The Fogcutters, Native Isles, and OC and the Offbeats.

Tyler Stanley grew up in Lamoine, ME, and attended Mount Desert Island High School where he was active in school music programs and studied trumpet with Bill Whitener and piano with Nancy Colter. He attended the University of Southern Maine where he received a Jazz Performance Degree. He has written, recorded, and performed with many popular groups based in Portland, Maine including Sly Chi, Gypsy Tailwind, The Fogcutters, and Pete Kilpatrick Band. With Kilpatrick, Tyler has shared the stage with a number of National Artists including O.A.R., Guster, Barenaked Ladies, and Dave Matthews as well as working as the backing band for John Popper of Blues Traveler.
