Hardy Girls Healthy Women to Feature National Youth Poet Laureate at Girls Rock! Awards

Join us on March 2nd in Portland to celebrate six outstanding young Maine girls at our 11th annual Girl’s Rock! awards event.  “In today’s world, it has never been more important to hear the voices of our young women,” said Kelli McCannell, Executive Director, Hardy Girls Healthy Women.
The keynote speaker, Amanda Gorman, was named the inaugural National Youth Poet Laureate of the United States in April 2017. She was also the inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of Los Angeles, and was invited to the White House by Michelle Obama, The Poetry Foundation, and The Library of Congress.
