Lisa Houck studied printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design and has over 40 years of experience printing and teaching.  In this class students will carve small 4"x6" blocks of linoleum, which can be printed onto 5"x7" greeting cards.  Linoleum is  relatively easy to carve and, once you make your blocks, you can print them as many times as you want to in as many colors as you want to.  Lisa will discuss the care of your tools, a variety of carving techniques to create pattern and textures, and how to design your artwork for linoleum block printing.  This class is for all levels.  Come prepared with a couple of ideas sized for 4"x6" images.
