The Maine Celtic Celebration is Belfast's premier outdoor summer event set on the shores of beautiful Belfast Bay. Held the third weekend in July, the Celebration honors the rich Celtic heritage, culture and hospitality found along the Maine coast. The family oriented event will include a gala opening performance, the Kilted Canter 5K road race, live music and dancing with various international and local groups, games for all ages, the New World Cheese Roll Championship, food and craft vendors, a Celtic breeds dog show, and fireworks on Saturday night! Come to compete or just watch; most of the activities are free. Admission is by donation.
