Please mark your calendars for the November 15th, 2012 Panel Discussion at USM's Portland Campus, Talbot Hall, 6:30 PM.
Esther Anne Altvater, Denise Altvater, and Passamaquoddy Tribal members will be speaking on the historically complex relationship between Maine Child Welfare services and Wabanaki peoples of Maine. This forum is one of many organized by the TRC and their community supporters in order to give Wabanaki people a place to share their stories and have a voice in how state agencies and tribal members can work together for the future of all our children.
We will provide educational support materials for k-12 educators, including LD291 resources for teaching Wabanaki arts and culture across content areas.
Please join us. All are welcome.
