The Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music is proud to present its 53rd season of summer concerts at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor, Maine.

The series of five concerts will begin on Tuesday, July 19, with a returning favorite the Shanghai Quartet accompanied by Todd Crow, pianist and music director. They will perform Frank Bridge – Novelletten H. 44; Mendelssohn - String Quartet in F minor, Op. 80; Brahms - Piano Quartet in A major, Op. 26. 

The festival aims to present chamber music at its best. Much of the aura which is due to the ambiance of the Neighborhood House, whose fine acoustics and old world charm add much to the intimacy of communication upon which chamber music thrives. Thanks to enthusiastic support, the Neighborhood House, which will be celebrating its 113th year, has reclaimed its central place in the cultural and social life of the Northeast Harbor Community.
