Every journey carries a mythic weight. Join us at the Chocolate Church Arts Center for a powerful, multidisciplinary evening of live storytelling that centers the diverse experiences of Maine's immigrant communities—from the newly-arrived to families rooted for generations.

Led by acclaimed author Ilan Stavans and directed by CCAC Executive & Artistic Director Matthew Glassman, local storytellers weave personal odysseys of seeking solace, safety, and belonging with music, movement, and mythology to illuminate our shared human experience.

This intimate performance bridges cultural, political, and generational divides, turning individual histories into a collective celebration of community. Each show concludes with on-stage reflections and an open post-performance dialogue, inviting the audience to engage, reflect, and find common ground in the stories that connect us all.

This project is made possible by a generous grant from the Maine Humanities Council, and is co-sponsored by Multilingual Mainers and Restless Books.
