Lights Out Gallery presents the Norway Maine Art Festival in the historic Norway downtown in the Western Maine Foothills on September 13, 2025. Originating as a sidewalk arts festival in 1967, this event is one of the few events to shut down Main Street- and for good reason. With over 100 artists and makers flooding the street to showcase and sell their work, from MCA members to local students, the breadth of the festival is as wide as the makers here in Maine.

The Norway Maine Arts Festival is a day-long celebration for art, music and the community, starting at 10am and ending at 4pm. Bringing together friends and family, the festival is a place for people to come together and find art as a common language, interest, and experience. With musicians from across the state and spanning genres and two stages, along with keynote speakers, the schedule is packed with a little bit for everyone. In the street, artists and makers have booths to showcase and sell their work and wares, along with artists generously demonstrating their practice and craft to the public, including metalsmithing and yarn spinning. Partnering with local organizations, such as the Alan Day Community Garden to bring a farmer’s market to life, visitors can see how art intersects with life outside of the studio.
