Please join us for the opening reception of "Diaphanous" at Sidle House Gallery, featuring three figurative artists exploring self-portraiture. Quinn Evans' contributions to this exhibition were funded by an Artist Springboard Grant (FY2025) which allowed her to complete five large oil paintings, embodying a total of thirteen life-sized representations of herself. Articulated through the universal ritual of undressing, she addresses themes of chronic illness, control, and release, exploring the internal dialogue of multiple selves as they navigate the complexities of body image, fertility, and societal expectations. The exhibition will be on view from August 29 - October 11. Hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday 3-6pm.
