PRINTMAKING II builds on the three core printmaking methods covered in Printmaking I and adds more tools to your kit. In this class, we will cover stencil silkscreening, reduction relief, as well as hard and soft-ground etching. Over the course of six weeks, you will learn how to create a variety of images, advanced composition, and how to use printmaking equipment, including etching presses, relief cutting tools, copper plate grounds, oil and soy-based inks, and more. This class is designed to be a companion course to Printmaking I, and we recommend you take Printmaking I or have prior experience with the methods before signing up for this class. If you wish to take this class multiple times, more advanced techniques can be introduced.

You do not need to be interested in drawing to make an interesting print. Drawing is not a requirement for any print classes taught at Waterfall. Instructors can help you figure out how to make an image using your skillset and give you tips on how to expand your abilities.
