Sara Juli's Naughty
- Date: February 12, 2023
- Time: 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM
- Location: The Strand Theater, Rockland

This work-in-progress showing of a multi-disciplinary performance piece explores the impacts of trauma on the brain stemming from sexual assualt as a child. Interweaving regressed thinking with a cruel inner voice, coupled with finding the humor in the tragic, the work breaks down victimhood to ultimately reclaim the mind. With live original music by Sorcha Cribben-Merrill, a striking visual design by Brooklyn-based Dirty Bandits and Justin Moriarty, costumes by Carol Farrell, dramaturgy by Michelle Mola Fireman, and Sara Juli’s signature style of movement fused with text and comedy, “Naughty” is for the child who did nothing wrong.
This showing of the piece in development will be followed by an audience discussion with the artist on process, feedback and dialogue.
*This work contains mature themes and language and is not appropriate for children.
Tickets: $15
