This workshop is an introduction to oil pastels.  Although, drawing experience is helpful, the class is open to all skill levels.  The first day students will begin with surface preparation and experimenting with the wide range of possibilities working with this flexible medium - sketching and trying out different surfaces.  From there, more time will be spent on a finished drawing and further familiarization, finishing up wtih how to varnish and preserve the drawings.  Jack calls these drawings, but his style is very painterly.  This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the secrets of this Maryland based master oil pastel artist!  For more information on this and other workshops at Arundel Farm Gallery visit our website and sign up using our easy online system.
