Maine Excellence in Arts Education Archive
The Maine Excellence in Arts Education Archive preserves past exhibitions celebrating the creativity and achievement of Maine students and the educators who support their artistic growth. The archive brings together student work and exhibition records that were previously spread across multiple Maine Arts Commission pages.
Use the year and season links below to explore past exhibitions, or return to the current Maine Excellence in Arts Education page for the latest student artwork.
2025 Exhibition Gallery
2024 Maine Excellence in Arts Education Exhibition
The 2024 exhibition was on view in the Burton M. Cross Building through May 31, 2024. The Maine Arts Commission recognized the participating student artists, their teachers, families, and supporters, with Lori Austill, Isabella Rotman, and Jenni Ibsen serving as jurors.
The gallery below preserves the artwork, student, school, and teacher information from the former 2024 virtual exhibition.
2018 Maine Excellence in Arts Education Exhibit
The 2018 exhibition included work from students and art teachers representing nine Maine schools. Students and teachers were honored at the Maine State House Hall of Flags on December 11, 2018, and the artwork remained on view in the State House Complex through April 2019.
The original page preserved participant and school labels rather than complete artwork titles for every entry. Those labels are retained below as part of the historical record.
